Ian Christelow - Action Master Licensee

Ian Christelow worked for the Pearson Group for 15 years in several businesses and a variety of financial roles and qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1991. He spent the last 4 years with Pearson working on their first entry into international franchising and starting up a highly successful joint venture with Penguin Books.

A desire to develop broader business experience and a frustration with big company politics coincided perfectly with the arrival of Action in the UK and at the end of 2001 Ian was appointed General Manager of Actions new European company. After a good look from the "inside", it soon became clear that Actions franchise stood out from the crowd of white-collar franchises because it offered:

  • outstanding returns on investment;
  • incredibly rewarding work; and
  • local, national and global training & support from a network of hundreds of business coaches and dozens of support managers, who were all committed to Team Work.

Just 3 days into Actions first European Training course, Ian realised that he wanted to become more involved in Actions business than just an employee. Some behind the scene’s work and great family support, led to Ian investing in Action’s Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk & Cambridgeshire territory and stepping up in August 2002 to run that business. In March 2004, buoyed by the successes of his Team in East Anglia, Ian seized the opportunity to invest in the Yorkshire & Lincolnshire territory.  18 months later, with Yorkshire & Lincolnshire coaches also starting to make a huge difference in their local business community, Ian invested in the last remaining territory in the UK, the North East & Cumberland.

His mission is to build a winning team of 200 Action Coaches who will apply Actions proven methodology and strategies to transform the business landscape in East England and consequently improve 1,000’s of peoples’ lives, because, "being in business should give you more life".
