Tom Malone is a classic self-made man.

 Since arriving from Ireland penniless, aged 16, Tom has worked his way up to senior executive posts with a major retailer; and has grown his own retail businesses from single outlets to international players. He is now director of over 100 companies, covering a wide range of business sectors.

In his career, Tom has climbed the ladder from Tesco's sales assistant to store manager, the regional manager and finally deputy chief executive of one of Scotland's biggest retail organisation's.

 Tom's strategy for growth has seen his own businesses climb from single retail outlets into the largest independent footwear organisation in the East Midlands, moving into wholesale his businesses became one of China's biggest trading partners for footwear in Western Europe.
